Red Mountain Resort
British Columbia
Red Mountain Resort, Canada's oldest ski resort, is located in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia within the community of Rossland, Canada's "Alpine City."
Ten minutes drive north of the Canada/US Border, Red is 2.5 hours drive from Spokane International Airport (Washington state) and 3.5 hours drive from Kelowna International Airport.
At Red, visitors can choose from 83 runs spread across two stellar mountains that feature everything from wide-open groomers to steep, powder-filled bowls. And with more than 1,585 skiable acres and 880 meters (2,900 feet) of vertical terrain serviced by 6 total lifts, there's a lot to explore at Red.
Red features some of the best-in-the-world tree skiing and riding in wide-open glades of untouched powder. The abundant snow, friendly staff and locals, and the short lift lines are just a few reasons why guests fall in love with Red.
They've earned a reputation as a difficult mountain because of the great quantity and quality of our expert terrain. However their Silverlode and Paradise areas offer plenty of wide-open groomed runs for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders.
